RPC Bebo Nederland extrudes film and thermoforms packaging 52 weeks a year. All raw materials used in production comply with current regulations for raw materials and packaging is food approved. Our packaging is made from the following plastic materials: PP, A-PET or PP/EVOH/PP. PP material is used for yellow spreads, margarine, fresh cold food and microwave ready meals. A-PET is used for fresh cold foods which require a high transparancy. PP/EVOH/PP offers the best plastic alternative to tin or glass for the packaging of ambient food, mainly fruit.

Polypropylene or polypropene (PP) is a thermoplastic polymer, made by the chemical industry and used in a wide variety of applications. An addition polymer made from the monomer propylene, it is rugged and unusually resistant to many chemical solvents, bases and acids.

APET is suitable for use between -40°C and +70°C. APET is an extremely tough material with good impact strength. APET is an extremely effective barrier against oxygen, water, carbon dioxide and nitrogen. After use as food packaging, APET trays can be ground and reused for secondary, non-food purposes.

RPC Bebo Nederland is experienced in PP/EVOH/PP fruit packaging, offering customers increased choice in packaging for food requiring a high degree of barrier protection, pasteurisation or sterilisation. Thanks to a complex structure - achieved through co-extrusion thermoforming - that is both water- and air-tight, PP/EVOH/PP offers optimum barrier properties for food requiring a longer shelf-life, with 18-24 months possible in certain cases. Similarly, advances in pasteurization and sterilization have enabled to use of PP/EVOH/PP for applications that have traditionally been confined to glass or metal, such as tinned vegetables, fruit and baby food. RPC thermoformed high barrier packs are successfully used to pack fruit, jelly, rice, sauces, baby food, sweet corn, ready meals, tuna salads, soups, vegetables and are potential pacs for any product packed in glass or tin cans today.
